Enclosed on the north by Kazakhstan, and counterclockwise, Issyk Kul Region, Naryn District, Jalal-Abad District, and Talas District, Chuy District, or Chui District is the northernmost district of the Kyrgyz Republic. The align east of the gorge is referred to as Kyungey Ala-Too, the one to the west is the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. The distance of the gorge is 22 km.
